thoughts on success
I had a terrible week last week.
Spent 0 time working towards my goals…or so I thought.
While doing my weekly reflection + discussing it with my partner,
I realized I wasn’t focused on the right things…
“True happiness is intention.”
This was the idea my partner shared with me.
I had spent the entire week unintentionally doing errands…
It felt like a waste of time,
Especially when I saw others working and making $5,000+ a week.
But during my weekly reflection, I asked myself:
Is my main goal in life really to work?
Even if it’s on my own business.
It’s not…
My life north star metric (#1 purpose in life) is to positively impact other people.
And at first glance, I didn’t feel like I did that.
But I realized:
I helped my sister with some of her errands too, making her life easier
I helped my friends move their businesses forward
I helped my family out with some chores
So now I had 2 choices:
Continue comparing myself to others and criticizing myself for not doing what I’m “supposed” to
Give myself grace knowing that my choices still reflect my values
So obviously I picked the one that made me feel better,
And as a result, felt more energized to get back to working on my business.
And I wouldn’t have realized this if I hadn’t intentionally reflected.
My weekly reflection questions
Wins - what gave me energy?
Losses - what drained energy?
If I continued today’s habits, would I be proud of who I am 1 year from now
What should I say no to?
What will that allow me to say yes to?

How was today's email? |
Til next Monday,

P.S. I’m thinking of running a cohort of the course (live calls too) starting in June…stay tuned 👀 It’ll be the best time to join the course cuz after that I’m splitting the course into 3 separate ones since I got feedback there was a LOT of info and that students wished I could’ve dove in more detail on some concepts.
